Lyallpur Khalsa College actively participated in 50th anniversary celebrations marking establishment of GNDU
Jalandhar, November 25, 2019: Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar actively participated in the 50th Anniversary Celebrations marking the establishment of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. As per the instructions of Principal Dr Gurpinder Singh Samra, the college was well represented on this momentous occasion by virtue of a Cultural Exhibition wherein the college team showcased an array of rich Punjabi Cultural articles and symbols. A total of mammoth 130 items put on display by the college included traditional agriculture equipments, domestic and household usages, utensils from the archives, decorative items, handmade art and craft, Writing materials, eatables from the golden era, traditional sports equipments and other articles on the verge of being extinct along with portraits of memories from the past which resulted in great attraction and knowledge to the visitors and onlookers and the same was well praised by one and all. Principal Dr Gurpinder Singh Samra informed that the college is always attached to its rich traditions and regular efforts are made along with the imparting education, to keep students in line with the cultural traditions of our region. Dr Samra also appreciated the efforts of the team representing Lyallpur Khalsa College comprising of Dr Sukhdev Singh Nagra, Prof Gurpreet Singh Buttar and Prof Sukhraj Kaur along with students namely, Babita and Jyoti for their efforts during this colourful presentation.
