STM program for NTU and PU students commences at PU

Chandigarh, September 17, 2019: The delegation of students from Nottingham Trent University, UK are visiting Panjab University for a 10 day Short Term Mobility (STM) Program being organised by the Dean International Students, Panjab University in collaboration with ISSER, PU.
The delegation today interacted with Prof. Raj Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, PU. Prof Kumar who had recently visited NTU Campus remarked that he is quite impressed with the activities of NTU students and would like to open doors of PU to more such participants from UK in times to come so that theyare also acquainted with rich and vibrant heritage of our country and our PU campus.
These students are from diverse academic backgrounds like Banking, Law, Finance, Fashion Technology and belong to different nationalities like British, African and Indian. The ten day program will focus on India and specially Punjab and its art, culture, heritage besides sessions on Role of Media, Democracy, Governance, Innovation, Technology and Social work. In today's globalized world such interactions are being a significant part of
the learning process.
The first day of the program started with a session on 'The Story of Indian
Democracy' by Vikram Singh, Deputy Secretary, Controller of Administration, CSIR, IMTECH, which was followed by a session on Role of Media in Indian Democracy by Jyoti Kamal, Cluster Head and Executive Editor, CNN News18.Thereafter, the students were taken for a visit to City NGO ALA.
