Ludhiana, August 10, 2019: Ramgarhia Girls College organised its first general assembly to mark the commencement of the new academic session 2019-20.
To seek the grace of the Almighty, the crooners of the PG Department of Music Vocal recited the shabad “Deh Shiva Bar Mohe.” Thereafter staff introduction took place and it was followed by investiture ceremony of the members of Central Students Association which was held with lots of zeal and zest. Geetika (BA III) was appointed as Head Girl of the college, Harsimran Kaur (B.Com. III) as Deputy Head Girl, Gagandeep Kaur (PGDCA) as Sports President, Parveen Kaur (MA Pbi, Sem-I) as Sports Secretary and Lovepreet Kaur(B.A. III) as Sports Joint Secretary and Manisha Kumari (M.A. Pbi,Sem III)as Sports Vice President. The newly elected council was awarded with sashes. The members of CSA were also allocated their duties. On this day, the toppers of different streams were also given away prizes.
While congratulating the newly elected CSA members and addressing the students, Principal, Dr Inderjit Kaur admonished them to be impartial and honest in discharging their duties. She also exhorted them to uphold their values. She reminded them that with position comes responsibilities towards themselves and added that, “It is only by perseverance that one can achieve success. I wish the students all the very best and I hope that all of you would seize the opportunities that come your way throughout this session.” She appreciated the in-charges of CSA, Dr. Rajeshwar Pal Kaur and Tajinder Kaur, for making a competent team that will maintain decorum and discipline in the college.
Ranjodh Singh, President, and Gurcharan Singh Lotey, General Secretary, Ramgarhia Educational Council, also acknowledged the significance of the responsibilities borne by the members of CSA throughout the year.
