Ludhiana: CT University, Ludhiana held an expert talk by Dr Jagtar Singh Dhiman, Registrar, CT University on ‘Energy Conservation: Need of the Hour’ for its administration and electrical staff who directly deals with energy and power consumption of the campus.
Addressing the staff, Dr Dhiman said, “Since, we have limited quantity of non-renewable energy resources available on the earth, it is very crucial to preserve energy from our current supply or to utilize renewable resources so that it is also available to our future generation.”
Also giving suggestions for personal life, the speaker added, “One can walk or ride a bicycle instead of driving a car and as a result, it reduces roughly 60% of air pollution. Moreover, at our homes, one must use lights which consume less energy and continue till 10 times more than bright light bulbs.”
Meanwhile, Dr Harsh Sadawarti, Vice Chancellor, CTU said, “Energy conservation indeed is important and must be done. We can begin from small and get large results for the society as whole. At CTU, the team ensures least of power wastage and encourages students to save recourses as well.”
