Bajaj College students spread message of sharing
Ludhiana, October 26, 2019: Students of Bajaj College, Chaukimann celebrated Diwali in a unique way by doing voluntary community service. They visited SGB Bal Ghar, Mullanpur and Bal Bhawan, Sarabha Nagar, Ludhiana on 25th October and distributed eatables and stationery to the orphan children. Also, they went to Swami Vivekananda Old Age Home, Model Town, Ludhiana on 26th October and donated articles of use and eatables over there. The students undertook this task to spread the message of ‘Green Diwali’ which is a must today when pollution levels are rising in the world. A total of 20 students accompanied by 2 teachers accomplished this task. Students said that after spending their time at these places they felt a feeling of satisfaction and peace within themselves. The Principal, Dr.Shikha Dhall, remarked that it is very necessary for institutions to inculcate habits of sharing, kindness and compassion for others in the students and the festival of Diwali is just the right occasion for this noble cause.
