CT students to paint 200 paintings on Baba Nanak

Jalandhar, October 7, 2019: As a tribute to Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s for the 550th Prakash Utsav, the students of Department of Architecture, CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur campus have taken up the project of painting almost 200 paintings that includes both large scale and small-scale canvas paintings.
The paintings aim at covering famous life events of Guru Nanak Dev Ji from the time of his birth and all the Udasiyans related episodes.
The Architecture students namely Harsimran, Aakash, Kulvir, Nikita, Kiran, Rainu, Anju, Arshdeep and Arun along with faculty Harpreet and Gurpreet have shown tremendous zeal to work on this project as Sewa for Guru Ji.
Harsimran, one of the students working on a very beautiful painting of Baba Nanak said, “We all are working on this project from last four to five months now. We all are excited to showcase our paintings at the venue on the occasion day.”
Ar. Shruti H Kapur, Principal of the Department said, “In order to understand the morals and teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, this became an interesting exercise for students because one way or the other today every student who is involved in this work got to know about Guru Nanak Dev ji and his teachings. For these young students, this also stood as a chance to swim deep in the religious ocean.”
Appreciating the efforts of the department, Manbir Singh, Managing Director CT Group said, “This will be a golden lifetime opportunity for the students by showcasing their work done during the event at Sultanpur Lodhi from November 1-12. These paintings will be helpful for the pilgrims to better understand the complete life journey of Baba Nanak.”
