STATEMENT: Govt. making special efforts for development of technical education: Kamal Sharma

Ludhiana, October 20, 2012: Punjab Technical University (PTU) is providing the job-oriented professional education to the students as per need of the hour and Punjab Government is making special efforts for development of technical education. 

These views were expressed by Kamal Sharma, political adviser to the chief minister, Punjabat a function organised at Polytechnic Educational Institution.

Kamal Sharma said, “In Punjab, besides the government educational institutions, the private educational institutions are also playing a vital role for the development of the education”.

He further said, earlier the students of Punjab used to go to other states and abroad to get the technical and higher education but now the students from foreign countries and from other states are getting standard education of desirable specifications.  In Punjab , with the establishment of new government and private universities, the students are having an opportunity to have job-oriented education of their choice.

Kamal Sharma further said, in the coming two years, the Punjab State will become surplus in power with the result, big industrial units will be established. The Punjab Government, during the last five years have made record development works besides giving jobs to thousands of people and still now, the priority of the government is development, health, electricity and education.

On this occasion, D. P. Chandan, chairman, small traders board, Natinder Mukhija, district president, BJP, Jugraj Singh Katoral, Jimmy Sandhu, Amrinder Chhina, Vijay Atwal, Gurpreet Singh, Ankit Sharma, Harvinder Harry and in good number of BJP volunteers were present.
