Avon Sports Club formed

Ludhiana, September 9, 2012: Avon Cycles have constituted Avon Sports Club, with a view to promote sports activities and also, to extend financial support to the needy sportspersons from across the state.

According to the Avon Cycles Director Rishi Pahwa, they have observed that many sportspersons are unable to pursue their sports activities only because of paucity of funds despite the fact that they are a lot of capabilities.

He told that the newly constituted Avon Sports Club has already adopted 15-year-old budding Karate player Gaurav Kashyap from Bathinda. He revealed that Gaurav, son of a rickshaw puller had participated in state and national- level competitions.

Rishi told that recently, Gaurav had got a chance to play in an international karate event in Malaysiya but he could not do so because of non-availability of money. He said now they had adopted Gaurav who would now be participating in a karate event in Bhutan.   

Further, he told that Avon Sports Club would also provide complete sports kit to Gaurav.

He told that they would be adopting needy sportspersons from any sports sphere, to extend them help to freely participate in the sports events without any financial constraints.
