Mount Carmel School, Chandigarh hosts Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Award- 2019

Chandigarh August 3, 2019: Under the agies of Founder Directors of Mount Carmel School, Chandigarh, Dr.Earnest Charles J Samuel and Dr.Annie Charles Samuel got the privilege to host the Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam Award 2019 by Avantika.

The esteemed guest was the Founder & Director of Avantika Group, Dr.Anand Aggarwal.

Principal of reputed Schools like St.John, Learning Paths School, AKSIPS Sector 45 , AKSIPS Sector 41 , Mount Carmel School , Zirakpur, New Public School, DC Model & DC Montessori also recipients of various awards were the Guests of Honour.

The event began with the Felicitation of the Guests and was followed by a Welcome Dance. Director of Avantika Group, Dr Aggarwal then highlighted the aims & objectives of Avantika .

The Directors of the School, Dr. Earnest Charles Samuel & Dr. Annie Charles Samuel along with the Principal of the School Dr. Parveena John Singh were honoured with the Prestigious A.P.J Abdul Kalam Award along with some other Principals of Popular Schools of the Tricity. Two hundred and fifty Students received Gold, Silver & Bronze Medals for Coloring; Essay writing & Greeting Card Making.

3 Teachers of MCS, Chandigarh Parveen Sinha, Jagdeep Kaur Shruti Garg were also awarded for their outstanding contribution in the field of Art .

The Trophies for the Gem of Art were bagged by three Students of the School, Jinsa E George, Kinjal Chandel & Usha Kiran.

Principal Dr. Parveena John Singh extended her thanks to the Avantika Group & in her particular to the Founder Director Dr. Anand for his initiative and effort to recognize intellectuals and Artisans.
