Ludhiana Group of Colleges Celebrates Annual Day

Ludhiana, April 2, 2019: The Annual Day of Ludhiana Group of Colleges, Chaukimann UPRISE-2019 was celebrated at its campus in which various technical, cultural, literary and Visual Arts and Craft events were organized besides the Fashion Show. Teams from other colleges also participated in these activities.
The show was dedicated to the martyrs of Indian Army who laid their lives for the security and integrity of the country. Dr. J.K. Chawla, Director welcomed the chief guest Dr. Harjot Kamal Singh MLA of Moga while Guests of Honour were: Mr. KundaSingh Dhaliwal- a noted Punjabi Lyricist.Many other distinguished personalitiesincluding Mr.SatnamKhattra – a renowned body builder having biggest arm biceps in India also graced the occasion. Students who had achieved distinctions in several areas of academics and extracurricular activities were presented with certificates and awards by the Chief Guest and Management committee consisting of Mr. Surinder PalSachdeva, Mr. Rajiv Gulati, Mr. Vikaram Grover, Mr. SubhashGrover, Mr. Shiv Kumar Arya& Mr. Aashish Grover. The fashion show was judged by Ms. Parminder Kaur of ORANEInternational & Ms. Sarghi Warring. After the final rounds, Mr. Jasmeet Singh was declared Mr. Ludhiana while Ms. Balpreet Kaur Deol was crowned as Miss Ludhiana- both of the LGC.While congratulating the winning students, the Chief Guest said that we should be more involved in these technical, cultural and literary activities as well as education so that the students can develop in a holistic mannerDr.NishiBala, Principal Management, Dr. Rakesh Kumar Principal (Engg.) Er. M. S. Dhaliwal, Principal Polytechnic were also present.
