No Bag Day Celebration in DRV DAV Centenary Public School

Jalandhar, April 28, 2024: DRV DAV Centenary Public School, Phillaur, on Saturday, once again proved that learning can be joyful and exciting experience with it's ' No Bag Day Celebration'. 

On this day ,the emphasis was kept on allowing students to have a stress free time and make them study in a fun way. So, for this special day - a day off from studies, special activities were planned for classes in both kids and main block. Students from grade III to V got involved in spectrum of eye pooping activities like Gift Wrapping, Salad Making, Personality Grooming and Yoga & Meditation. These activities aimed to generate interest among students in co curricular activities without the burden of carrying heavy bags.

For Classes VI to X the No Bag Day was celebrated under the theme No Textbook Day to enhance student's competency for competitive exams. The initiative aimed to foster skills in various categories essential for holistic development, including financial literacy, quantitative aptitude, scientific aptitude, general awareness, linguistic intelligence, morality, ethics, and humanity.It was an initiative to provide students with practical exposure and knowledge beyond traditional textbooks, preparing them for competitive exams and real-world challenges.

It was a special day for the children as they came to school without backpacks and thoroughly had a cheerful time at school.

Principal Dr.Yogesh Gambhir stated that this innovative initiative aimed to provide our young learners with a refreshing break and an opportunity to explore learning in a fun and interactive way.
