The Punjab Education Minister Dr Daljit Singh Cheema on sunday honors World School Swimming Championship Bronze medalist Sahil Chopra.
Chandigarh, April 26, 2015: The Punjab Education Minister Dr Daljit Singh Cheema here today honored World School Swimming Championship Bronze medalist Sahil Chopra. Sahil Chopra had come to seek blessings from the Minister along with his father Sanjiv Chopra, Mother Kajal Chopra besides others.
Dr. Cheema was also briefed on the achievements of Sahil who had set a record by winning three gold medals at National School Swimming Championship held at Raikot in Gujarat recently. A student of 10+2 (non-medical) at Veer Haqiqat Rai School in Patiala he is all set to participate in Group Asia Swimming Championship which will be organized in Ranchi (Jharkhand) in near future.
On the occasion the Punjab Education Minister said that Sahil Chopra has set an example for aspiring players of the state and has also proved that one can achieve new heights if we have commitment towards our goals and work hard honestly. Dr. Cheema exhorted the budding players of the state particularly at school level to follow his example.
Pardeep Dhiman President Sri Raja Ganpati Welfare Society, Vikas Kumar besides others was also present on the occasion.
