Diwali Gift of fully Constructed School to the students of Fatehpur Awana by Ralson India under CII CSR Programme

Fatehpur Awana (Ludhiana): On October 21, in a programme organised by CII Punjab a school, after being fully renovated and rebuilt was handed back to the school authorities consisting of 4 Modern Classrooms, Library, Kitchen , Modern Toilet by the Managing Director of Ralson India Limited – Sh Sanjeev Pahwa , in the presence of Mr Ravi Bhagat, Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana, Mr Gurjot Singh Malhotra, District Education Officer, Ludhiana, Mr Sandeep Jain, Chairman, CII Punjab State Council, Managing Director, Ralson India Limited, Mr Neeraj Satija, Convenor, CII Punjab State CSR Panel & Director Hallmark Pharmaceuticals Limited, Staff Members & students of the School and Members from the Industry.
A Government primary school here in Fatehpur Awana, Ludhiana was operating out of one room as rest of the building was dismantled by School Management Committee by following the order of PWD as it was declared unsafe. The school continued to operate and students were studying under trees, Store Room and in a rental setup provided by few of the villagers.
The initiative was undertaken under leadership of Shri Sanjeev Pahwa ( Past chairman CII Punjab ) – education is a subject very dear to his heart – Total contribution of more than 80 lac rupees has been made to education department under CSR till date mentioned that Education is the foundation of any society or nation. Investment in Education Infrastructure especially at school level is one of the sectors wherein a lot needs to be done.
Mr Neeraj Satija – Convenor of the CSR state level panel of CII Punjab – explained that education , healthcare and environment are focus areas for CSR work in CII. He explained unless until school infrastructure is improved national programs like Swach Bharat , Skill India etc etc cannot succeed , School provide enabling environment to make these success as cleanliness is habit which from right from primary school and if school itself is in bad shape how would child inculcate the habit
Taking it forward leading industries from the region committed itself to the cause after Mr Sandeep Jain, Chairman, CII Punjab State Council appealed to all the industry present to come forward to adopt more such schools & institutions which need support.
