Balakalakaar celebrated by AIESEC on account of children’s day
Ludhiana, November 19, 2019: Balakalakaar was celebrated by AIESEC on account of children’s day at Nehru Planetarium area of Rose Garden, Ludhiana. The event was open to both privileged and underprivileged students. The primary motive of the event was to bring in the life of underprivileged children a day of joy, celebrating children's day with them and also to spark a feeling of equality in both privileged and underprivileged children by bringing them on the same platform for an art competition. In the event 480 students took part including students from Sacred Hearts BRS Nagar, Mount Litera Zee School, Police DAV School, Drishti Jain Public School, Ritambara Public School, SKSK school, Ajit Public School, Govt Elementary School and Govt Girls High School. The NGOs dealing with cute little munchkins including Manwata Dham, Zindagi Live Foundation, Masti Ki Pathshala, Vich Duniya Sev Kamaiye, Aashirwad, Guru Gyan Jyoti Welfare Society, Navnoor Group (PAU). The institutes that sent their students for the event were Little Wings Art Institute, Beginners Art Club, UCMAS. People around the city helped bringing a day of joy to the underprivileged children through the donations they made. AIESEC in Ludhiana thanks its sponsors. The event started at 9:30 am in the morning and the results were announced at 1:30 pm. The age was divided into 3 categories which included 4-7 years, 8-11 years and 12-16 years and in each category 3-3 cash prizes were given separately to privileged and underprivileged children by judges Mr Subhash Cheeda, Mrs Kamal Mankoo and Mrs Gagandeep Kaur. Every child enjoyed each and every bit of the event and showcased their talent through the drawings they made. The day went full of fun and positivity seeing children smiling and showing their potential.
