Young Indians Ludhiana Chapter starts initiative to spread awareness about Earth Hour Day

Ludhiana, March 27, 2015: Youngsters of the city are playing a major role in creating awareness amongst the people for observing the Earth Hour Day on Saturday . “Young Indians”, the youth chapter of CII, has been running a campaign to involve people in observing the Earth Hour Day and its ideas.

On Friday the members of Young Indians initiated the campaign to spread the awareness about the Earth Hour at Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana.

“Earth Hour is a movement using the power of the crowd to protect the planet. On Saturday, 28 March 8:30 p.m., individuals, businesses and Institutions marks around the world will switch off their lights for one hour to focus attention on climate change. As the lights go out, Earth Hour supporters will also be contributing real climate solutions to combat the globe’s biggest environmental challenge” Said Amit Juneja, Chapter Chair, Young Indians Ludhiana.

Anachal Goel, Co-Chair, Yi Ludhiana Chapter, Dr. Ashish Ahuja, Past Chair, Yi Ludhiana Chapter, Gautam Sikri, Munish Dua, Charu Juneja, Dr. Gauhar Vatsyan, Laveena Aggarwal, Rashmi Jain, Dr. Tanveer Singh Bhutani , Dr. Shivani Bhutani,   Amanpreet Singh Arora were the Yi Members present to spread the awareness in making the public of the city aware about the Earth Hour for protecting planet. The public present at Pakhowal Road expressed happiness about the initiative taken by the Yi Ludhiana Chapter.

Young Indians Ludhiana Chapter has requested all the Institutions across city to Support Earth Hour and spread the message for observing the Earth Hour. GNA University, YUVA Chapter of Yi Ludhiana also supported the Earth Hour.
