Punjab Government Invites Applications From Eligible Employees For Promotion As Clerk

Chandigarh, December 7, 2015: The Punjab Government has invited applications from the eligible employees serving in the Punjab Civil Secretariat for promotion to the post of clerk.
Disclosing this, an official spokesman said that as per Rule 7(1) of the Punjab Civil Secretariat (State Service Rank-3) Rules, 1976, those category-4 and 3 employees (having less pay scale than clerk’s post), who are Matriculate and studied Punjabi up to matric level, have typing speed of 30 words per minute in Punjabi and English with 5 year experience, could be promoted as clerk’s in accordance with the rules. The spokesman also informed that the Secretariat Administration would conduct a typing test of 30 words per minute in English and Punjabi on computer, for promotion to the post of clerk.
The spokesman further said that the eligible & interested Class-3 and 4 category employees having pay scale is less than that of a clerk, fulfilling the above conditions can send their applications through their concerned branch head with details for e.g. Name, Post, Father’s Name, Present Station Of Posting, Educational Qualifications, Date of Joining and Present seniority number to the Establishment Branch-4., till 24Th December, 2015.
