Hyderabad: Trishneet Arora, CEO, TAC Security shocked the audiences by giving a live demo of hacking Internet TV at Infosec Maestros Event held in Hyderabad.
He said, “Companies are buying the security products regularly, but they don’t know how suitable they actually are. When we are sick we go to doctor, he recommends a test and later prescribes medication according to the test results. Similarly, we have to Test our company's security system before taking any action. Rather than investing in the various security products available in the market, we should aim at making our existing products safe and powerful."
A vulnerability assessment , he says, is the process of identifying, quantifying, and prioritising the vulnerabilities, while Penetration Testing is a proactive and authorised attempt to evaluate the security of an IT infrastructure by safely attempting to exploit network or web vulnerabilities.
Besides installing secure and dedicated communication networks against data theft including deployment of security solutions, including firewall, intrusion and prevention systems and anti-virus solutions, Trishneet stressed that it is of utmost importance to keep close track of such Cyber- attacks through VAPT to discover the security loopholes present in organisation’s information systems, to plug them in time.
Trishneet says, “The concept of engaging services of professional hackers to track, identify and plug security loopholes in the organisation’s information systems is catching up and aware organisations have already started ear marking dedicated budgets for their data security needs.”
