Vigilance nabs Manager Cooperative Bank accepting bribe of Rs 1 lakh

Chandigarh, August 19, 2014: The Vigilance Bureau has nabbed a Manager, Primary Cooperative Agriculture Development Bank with the bribe money of Rs one lakh.
Disclosing this here today an official spokesperson of the Vigilance Bureau said that Surinder Garg who was posted as Manager at Primary Cooperative Agriculture Development Bank, Sherpur, District-Sangrur was nabbed by the team of vigilance bureau on the complaint of Amarjit Singh of Village Sikander Pura, District Sangrur. In his Complaint Amarjit Singh said that he had applied for a loan of Rs. 10 lakh from Primary Cooperative Agriculture Development Bank, Sherpur, District Sangrur. He alleged that Surinder Garg Manager, was demanding bribe of Rs. One lakh from him, for sanctioning the loan.
The spokesperson further said that on the tip off  trap was laid by the team of Vigilance Bureau, Flying Squad-1, Mohali headed by Hargobind Singh, SP, VB/FS-I, Mohali  and accused Surinder Garg, Manager, Primary Cooperative Agriculture Development Bank, Sherpur, District-Sangrur was arrested red handed while accepting bribe of Rs. 1 lakh from the complainant.
