Ludhiana, April 6, 2014: South East Asian, Italian, French Classic, Hors d Oeuvres, patisserie delicacies, and more – all are on the cards. For Ludhiana, Hyatt Regency and PCTE Group of Institutes got together after months of research and interaction to collaborate for offering some very exquisite courses to the city residents.

Prof. K N Thakur, Training & Development Officer, Faculty of Hotel Management, who initiated the idea, said, “We worked out details over the past two months about specific courses according to the needs of the housewives, young girls and boys, cooking freaks, et al in the city.” He elaborated that it would be a certificate course, where certificates will be issued jointly by Hyatt and PCTE.

Glenn Peat, General Manager, Hyatt Regency while signing a formal partnership between the two organizations informed that the Hyatt Executive and Sous Chefs for each Cuisine will specifically go and train for these courses at PCTE Campus. He encouraged a competition to be held at the end of each genre of course and the winners be invited to dine at Hyatt’s fine dining restaurant with their family at Hyatt Regency, Ludhiana. He said this will motivate true talent and he hopes that more and more Ludhianvis will begin to experiment with new cuisines.

Dr. K N S Kang, Director, PCTE Group of Institutes informed that PCTE introduced Fusion Cuisine to the region last month during an International Hospitality Conference, where months of R&D revealed European and Indian fusion cuisine. He said now that PCTE and Hyatt have signed a pact to introduce the city to new cuisines by leading faculty from PCTE and Chefs from Hyatt, it will bring a new flavor to the palette of Ludhiana residents. Dr. Kang said that he was certain the partnership would be a long and fruitful one in making new inroads into hospitality industry in the region.
