Students and staff of Lyallpur Khalsa College celebrate festival of Diwali by virtue of vivacious and vibrant program

Jalandhar, October 26, 2019: Students and staff of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar celebrated the festival of Diwali by virtue of a vivacious and vibrant program held today. The program began with recitation of Shabad Kirtan and that was followed by various colorful cultural performances namely folk songs, Luddi, Gazal, Kavishri, Debate, Elocution, Poetry Recitation, Gidha and Bhangra performed much to the entertainment of the audience by students artists of the college mainly from the Department of Music. Chief guest for the program, College Principal Dr.Gurpinder Singh Samra was duly welcomed by Dr.Tarsem Singh, Coordinator, Centre for Youth Affairs. Speaking on the occasion, Dr GS Samra expressed his best wishes on the occasion of the festival of lights and wished for a bright future for everyone concerned with the institution. Dr. Samra also emphasized the need to celebrate such historical occasions with harmony and social coherence keeping in mind the historical perspectives a well. The program was also witnessed by the presence of Prof. Jasreen Kaur, Dean Academic Affairs, Prof. Manpreet Kaur, HOD Political Science along with respective heads of various departments and students in large number. The stage on this occasion was managed by Dr. Surinderpal Mand.
