State level kabaddi tournament- 2019-2020 organized at Children Welfare Centre High School, Mumbai, concludes successfully
Mumbai: A two day long state level Kabaddi tournament -2019-2020 for the children below 17 years, organized jointly by the District Sports Council, Mumbai suburban district collectorate and Children Welfare Centre High School, Yari Road, Versova, Andheri West, from first November onwards under the aegis of the Directorate of Sports & Youth Services, Maharashtra State, Pune, was successfully concluded on a grand scale on 2nd November. In the final, the boys from Kolhapur and Mumbai clashed, in which Kolhapur boys emerged winners and captured the first rank. In the final tournament among girls, the Pune and Amravati girls jostled in which eventually Pune team reached the top position. In the prize distribution ceremony, Kabaddi player of international repute Rishank Devadiga, Mumbai Suburban Kabaddi Association president Amol Kirtikar, District Sports Officer Suvarna Bartakke, Children Welfare Centre High School Principal Ajay Kaul, Activity Chairman Prashant Kashid, Mangal Pandey, Popatrao Patil, P K Joshi and others involved in Kabaddi promotion graced the occasion. The winner team was felicitated with a trophy and a certificate. All people complimented Children Welfare Centre High School Principal Ajay Kaul for organizing a spectacular Kabaddi tournament on such a grand scale. A group of 25 players each was selected from the participating boys and girls. They will be given training in a camp in Pune. After the training, 12 boys and 12 girls will be selected to play in the Maharashtra Kabaddi team. At the conclusion of the tournament, the Children Welfare Centre High School Principal Ajay Kaul complimented and thanked all people for their support.
