SPEAK TO HOLD SESSION ON PREVENTIVE HEALTH AT GCG 11
Chandigarh, September 10, 2018: Continuing with its efforts to spread medical literacy and preventive health education, SPEAK India (Society for Promotion of Ethical & Affordable health Care) will hold a meeting with the faculty and students of GCG 11 on Sept 11 at 11.15 am, according to Dr.R.Kumar President of the society. Principal Anita Kaushal and Dr.Sudha Vashisht will welcome the participants and guests. The NGO is reaching out to the society at large through the youth of colleges and schools to usher in healthy India. SPEAK has been spearheading a campaign ‘selling health through education’. SPEAK organized street plays, short plays at Kala Bhawan and Tagore theatre, workshop for school teachers, Yoga competition, painting competition and health- walk at Sukhna Lake to spread message of good health. The emphasis of SPEAK is to live close to the nature and believe in ‘minimum medicine, maximum health’. It also advises to shun white poisons like salt, sugar, refined flour and rice, processed foods, plastics and chemicals and minimize use of smart phones. “Mindset of consulting a doctor, use of medicines or surgery should be last resort,”, Dr. Kumar added
