Sankara Eye Hospital at Ludhiana on Wednesday celebrates its Founders Day.

Ludhiana, May 21, 2014: Sankara Eye Hospital celebrated its Founders Day on Wednesday in hospital premises today. In this event, hospital welcomed two new doctors Dr. Satya Karna (Cataract, Refractive Error and Neuro Ophthalmologist) and Dr. Madhu Karna (Cataract, Refractive Error and Paediatric Ophthalmologist) in presence of S. Jagmohan Singh (Chairman of Oster Group), Ranjodh Singh (Chairman GST Group and Director Sankara) and Sponsors from Lions Club, Avtar Singh and Amrik Singh. Brig. M.S Gujral (Retd) CEO of the hospital introduced his team and put light on the achievements of Sankara Eye Care Institutions with a small presentation in which students of optometry course from Chitkara University also became the part.
Gujral informed about  brief history and, facility and procedures available at the hospital, and also introduced all the specialists they were: Dr. Satya Karna (Catract, Refractive Error and Nuero Ophthalmologist), Dr. Manoj Gupta (General Ophthalmologist) , Dr. Madhu Karna (Catract, Refractive Error and Pediatric Ophthalmologist), Dr. Asheesh Bajaj (Glaucoma Specialist), Dr. Ribhu Soni (Retina Specialist), Dr. Rajesh ( Retina Specialist , Visiting Consultant from Banglore), Dr. Ruchi Dabas (General Ophthalmologist) , Dr. Ramneet Kaur (General Ophthalmologist), Dr. Anupreet Sethi (General Ophthalmologist) , Dr. Navdeep Sethi (Anaesthetists) , Dr. Manveen Tibb (Anaesthetists), Dr. Pankaj Gupta (General Physician).
Sankara Eye Hospital is a part of Sankara Eye Care Institutions (SECI) which started work as a charitable trust in 1977. It is a group of 13 eye hospitals in India comprising a team of 173 doctors, 600 paramedical professionals, and 275 support staff and has touched the lives of over 40 million people in these 37 plus years.
