Safety Training Programme on General Engineering organised at Rail Coach Factory Kapurthala

Kapurthala, April 2, 2016: A One day Safety Training Programme on General Engineering was organised jointly by Director of Factories, Punjab, Chandigarh and Punjab Industrial Safety Council, Chandigarh at RCF, Kapurthala.

The programme was held at Technical Training Centre, Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala. Shri Devender Kumar,Chief Workshop Engineer/Shell & Factory Manager was Chief Guest on the occasion.

During the welcome address, Shri Narinder Kumar,Works Manager/Monitoring said that RCF is conscious about the safety and welfare of its employees and contractual workers. He stressed on the need to observe safety at every field of work and the work must be performed by adopting safe working methods and safety gadgets/Personal Protective Equipments and should be strictly adhered to.

60 supervisors and technicians of RCF participated in this training programme during which lectures were delivered by experts of Industrial safety. Shri Makhan Singh, Asst Director Factories /Phagwara in Machine Guarding with case studies, Shri Vaishnav Sharma, Guest Faculty on First aid & Personal Protective Equipmentss, Shri Balkar Singh, Chief Instructor/TTC in General Safety, Shri G.P. Singh CI/TTC in Electrical Safety and presented lectures.

During the Valedictory session, Shri Makhan Singh, ADF/Phagwara and Chief Guest Shri Devendra Kumar, CWE/Shell & Factory Manager issued the certificates to all participants in this training programme. Shri Charanjit Singh Lamba, Dy.CME/M presented bouquet to ADF/Phagwara. In his vote of thanks by Shri Makhan Singh, ADF/Phagwara stressed that team work and the safe system can only be maintained by the collective efforts as well as co-ordination of all. He appreciate the initiatives taken by RCF management in holding programmes on safety every year and also providing safe working environment to one and all of its employees. / (Rajat Kumar, Jalandhar)
