Residents should submit applications only through sewa kendras: ADC(D)

Ludhiana, November 22, 2019: Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Mrs Amrit Singh has directed the heads of different government departments in district Ludhiana to not receive any applications directly of services that are provided through the Sewa Kendras. She said that when the applications are received directly, sometimes the residents have to face unnecessary harassment.
Mrs Amrit Singh informed that at present 233 services have been configured on Sewa Kendra portal for their delivery through Sewa Kendras. It has been observed that service applications are being taken directly by the departments and the tracking for such applications is not possible. Citizens are approaching the departments at their field officers directly and sometimes undergoing harassment. Even field offices of departments are not directing citizens to submit applications at Sewa Kendras. This practice doesn't promote transparency and hinder tracking applications.
She has asked the head of departments to issue necessary directions to all concerned officers/field offices regarding accepting of applications and delivery of services to be carried out only through Sewa Kendras and to integrate front end delivery portal/software with Sewa Kendra portal immediately.
