Jalandhar, May 16, 2015: A person who reads leads an exceptionally enriched life. A reader is almost always a more creative and intellectually more realized person than one who does not read.

Recognizing the importance of inculcating passion for reading in its students, Cambridge International School, Chhotti Baradari organized a unique event- Rendezvous with Authors on  Friday for the students of grade II and III.

Some students impersonated legendary authors like Ruskin Bond, William Wordsworth, RK Narayan, Rabindranath Tagore and Enid Blyton. These authors told children about their lives, works, motivations and inspirations, thereby invoking a strong curiosity in these children to look at these author’s books.

Students also brought their favourite books to school and told each other what they loved about them. Some of them exchanged titles with each other.

The event was magical and entertaining, to see those little stars of the literary firmament mingling with young, budding readers.

Chairman Mr Ajay Bhatia, Deputy Chairman Mr Deepak Bhatia, Directors Learning Wings Dr Brijesh and Mr Nitin Kohli,Director CIS Mr J K Kohli, Academic Director Ms Deepa Dogra and Principal Ms Kiranjoth Dhillon  appreciated the commendable job done by the young authors and encouraged the students make reading a part of their daily regimen.
