Ramgarhia Girls College, Ludhiana organised its 45th Annual Athletic Meet

Ludhiana, March 7, 2015: Ramgarhia Girls College, Ludhiana organised its 45th Annual Athletic Meet on Saturday. Manjinder Singh Sachdeva, M.D., Citizen Industries, Ludhiana presided over the occasion as chief guest. 

Principal, Dr. Narinder Sandhu, Ranjodh Singh, President, Jagtar Singh, General Secretary, Ramgarhia Educational Council, accorded a warm welcome to the guest. The prominent guest unfurled the college flag and took the salute from the march past. Students performed Gatka on the occasion. Around 150 students took part in the event and the participants of each team were divided into players and non-players. Various events like 50, 100, 200, 400, 800 Meter Relay, Long Jump, High Jump, Discuss Throw, Javelin Throw, Shot Put, 4*100 Relay were organised. The students enthusiastically took part in recreational events like Trolly Race, Spoon and Potato Race, Three Legged Race, Chatti Race, Skipping on the Spot, Sack Race. The esteemed guests also actively participated in Musical Chairs. 

Kulwinder Kaur of B. A. II was adjudged the best athlete. 

Manjinder Singh Sachdeva gave away prizes to the winning participants and congratulated the students on putting up a great show. Ranjodh Singh lauded the zealous participation of the students and added that this event not only tests the capabilities of the students but also proves to be a fun-filled experience for them. Principal, Dr. Naridner Sandhu, felicitated the organisers Rajeshwarpal Kaur, Head of the Department of Physical Education and Jasbir Kaur Gill, for making this event a success with their commendable efforts. 

Jagtar Singh extended a vote of thanks to the worthy guests of the day.
