Jalandhar, December 18, 2015: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- The Heritage Institution, Jalandhar’s Kaushal Kendra and P.G.Department of Fashion Designing and Merchandising organised a one-day workshop on ‘Various Art Media’ for the students of B.Voc. in Textile Design and Apparel Technology alongwith students of B.Sc.(F.D) Sem.V.The Resource Person for the same was Mr.Amit, of Easels Academy of Fine Arts, Jalandhar, who is presently working as a Painter, Artist and Cartoonist in Dainik Bhaskar, Jalandhar. To start with he practically demonstrated the use of different art media in fashion illustration. He also threw light on the history of various art media like soft pastels, water colours, charcoal pencils and posters colours etc. He winded up his workshop by elaborating on rendering of human figures with special focus on facial features of fashion figures.
Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the organizers from both the Departments for a productive and meaningful workshop which would have a lasting influence on the practical knowledge and its applications in the particular field. The students had a lively interaction with the resource person at the end of the workshop.
