Chandigarh, August 24, 2015: Punjab Government has constitute first Board of Governor of the Maharaja Ranjit Singh State Technical University, Bathinda.
Disclosing this here an official spokesman of Punjab Government said that Chief Secretary would be Chairman and the Principal Secretary to Government of Punjab, Department of Technical Education and Industrial Training would be Vice-Chairman of the Governing Council.
The spokesman said Vice Chancellor,Maharaja Ranjit Singh State Technical University, Bathinda,Vice Chancellor, I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar Secretary Finance, Director, Technical Education and Industrial Training, Punjab, Chairman of the North-West Committee, All India Council for Technical Education, Chandigarh, President of the Confederation of Indian industry or his nominee, and Director of Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar would be Ex-Officio Members of the Board of Governors.
He added that Sh. Rajinder Gupta, Managing Director, Trident Group of Industries, Barnala Sangrur, Sh. Rajinder Kumar Mittal, Chairman & Managing Director, M/s. BCL, Industries and Infrastructures Ltd, Bathinda, Two eminent technologists, Dr. S.K. Salwan, Former Vice Chancellor, I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University & Chairman, Armament Research Board, New Delhi., Sh. Chandra Mohan, Formerly Vice-Chairman & MD, Punjab Tractors & Swaraj Group, ) One principal of the college by rotation Dr. J.S.Hundal, Campus Director, Giani Zail Singh, PTU Campus, Bathinda and One head of the department by rotation from amongst the heads of the departments of the university Will be nominated after the establishment of the departments of the University. This Board of Governors would govern for next three year.
