Satnam Singh Bhamara being honoured by Ramgarhia Educational Council at Ludhiana.
Ludhiana, August 12, 2015: Ramgarhia Educational Council honoured the Basketball sensation, Satnam Singh Bhamara in an event organized at Ramgarhia Girls College. He was accompanied by his father, Balbir Singh and Secretary of Punjab Basketball Association, Teja Singh Dhaliwal. Ranjodh Singh, President, Jagtar Singh, General Secretary, Ramgarhia Educational Council and Dr (Mrs.) Narinder Sandhu, Principal, Ramgarhia Girls College, accorded them a warm welcome. S. Charanjit Singh Vishwakarma and S. Avtar Singh Bhogal also marked their presence on the event. The students of Ramgarhia Girls College, Ramgarhia Girls Sr. Sec. School and Ramgarhia Sr. Sec. School for Boys were elated to meet the Basketball prodigy. The members of the council extended him a token of appreciation. While addressing the students, he said that sheer grit and determination can help them scale greater heights in life. Teja Singh Dhaliwal averred that with his nonpareil achievement, he has ignited hopes in the minds of aspiring players. Ranjodh Singh said that Satnam Singh has done everyone proud by being the first Indian to be drafted into the NBA (National Basketball Association) and added that such rare achievers serve as great sources of inspiration for youngsters. S. Jagtar Singh congratulated Singh and said that it’s with the blessings of the Almighty that such histories can be scripted at a tender age of nineteen. Dr (Mrs.) Narinder Sandhu appreciated the player for remaining steadfast on his path and said that every youngster should take a leaf out of his book. The members of Ludhiana Pedallers Club also honoured Satnam Singh on the occasion.
