YPS Mohali's team in a jubilant mood after winning the 6th Wg Cdr S S Gyani Memorial Cricket Tournament 2015 by defeating hosts St  Soldier's School, Panchkula.

Panchkula, October 8, 2015: In the 6th Wg Cdr S S Gyani Memorial Cricket Tournament organized by St. Soldier’s School, Sector-16, Panchkula, YPS, Mohali (160/10) won the Finals against St. Soldier’s School, Panchkula (106/10) by 54 runs. Vipanjot of YPS, Mohali was declared Man of the Match.
 
YPS, Mohali batting first put up 160 all out in 29 overs. Vipanjot scored a fiery 69 off 73 balls hitting Four 4s and 3 sixes. Ayush made 25 runs off 29 deliveries hitting two 4s and one six. Divansh made 23 from 19 balls by hitting four 4s.Geetank took 3 wickets, Anmol 2 and Sahil 2 for St Soldiers School, Panchkula.
St. Soldier’s School, Panchkula were able to score 106 all out in 24.2 overs. Ashish made 25 off 26 balls with six 4s. Sahil made 13 runs from 22 deliveries and Vivek 9 off 12 balls. Vipanjot took 4 wickets, Gurucharan 2 and Pranshu 1 wicket.
 
The  Winners Trophy went to  YPS, Mohali while Runner Up was given to
Hosts St. Soldier’s School, Panchkula. Man of the Match    was   Vipanjot, YPS (Mohali).
 
The award ceremony saw trophies being given for different achievements during the tournament.  Man of the Series   was again Vipanjot, YPS (Mohali). The Best Bowler of Tournament was Geetank, St. Soldier’s School (PKL). Best Fielder was Sahil, St. Soldier’s School (PKL). Best Batsman prize went to Abhinav, The Gurukul (PKL).Best Wicket Keeper -          Prabhnoor, YPS (Mohali).Upcoming Players    were-          Anmol, Pinegrove School (HP),           Ankit Kalra, St. Soldier’s School (PKL), Vishal Massey, St. Soldier’s School ,Devyansh Chopra, YPS (Mohali). Best Catch trophy was awarded  to Pratham, St. Soldier’s School (PKL).The Promising Players of the Tournament were Aryan Bhatia - Saupin's School, Chandigarh & Ashish Garg - St. Soldier's School, Panchkula.
