KMV Collegiate Senior Secondary School, Jalandhar players who win Inter School Zonal Championship.
Jalandhar, October 31, 2015: Keeping alive the rich tradition of excellence in sports, players from KMV Collegiate School won the Inter School Zonal Championship. With ten Gold medals haul in their kitty, and many silver also, the young sportswomen put up an extremely impressive show. In the 100mt & 200 metre race Labhpreet won gold medal, while Manpreet won the same in the 800 metre and 1500 metre race. Vaishali won the longest race of 3000 metre and 5000 metre respectively. The shot-put event was won by Prabhdeep while the Long jump event was won by Pawanpreet. Jaskiran won the gold medal in discus throw, while Prabhdeep won the silver in the same event. The 400 metre race was also won by Navdeep from KMV Collegiate senior Secondary School. In the 1500 metre race event silver was won by Navdeep and in the 3000 metre event silver was won by Prabhjot. The Championship was held at Sports School Jalandhar. Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated all the young sportswomen for their excellent performance. She wished them many more laurels in future and gave them best wishes. She also congratulated Head Department of Physical Education Mrs. Ashoo Bajaj and the faculty for being excellent mentors and guiding force behind the achievers.
