Quiz competition dedicated to 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji organised in GGN Khalsa College

Ludhiana, November 15, 2019: An inter-class quiz competition dedicated to 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji was organised by the PG Department of English of Gujranwala Guru Nanak Khalsa College. Around 60 students of graduation and post graduation level participated in the quiz contest. The questions of quiz were based on Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s life, writings, journeys, and teachings. Principal of GGN Khalsa College, Dr.Arvinder Singh Bhalla said that the quiz competition was the part of the series of events being organised on the occasion of 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Under the patronage of Gujranwala Khalsa educational council, several programmes including National seminar, Poetry festival, Poetry recitation and others were organised in the college, he added. Head of PG Department of English, Dr. Sushminderjeet Kaur said that the objective of organising this quiz contest was to make the students aware about the history, teachings, writings and journey’s of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Out of total ten teams, three teams were given prizes and all the participants were given certificates. On this occasion, Dr. Hargunjot Kaur, Dr. Bhupinderjeet Kaur, Prof. Mandeep Kaur, Prof. Chayya Sharma and Prof. Amanpreet Kaur were also present to organise the contest.
