With district administration reaching out to voters in each and every sector of the society to ensure maximum participation during Lok Sabha-2024 elections, different teams visited banks, government offices etc to encourage the service voters to cast their votes during the general elections.

Ludhiana, May 7, 2024: With district administration reaching out to voters in each and every sector of the society to ensure maximum participation during Lok Sabha-2024 elections, different teams visited banks, government offices etc to encourage the service voters to cast their votes during the general elections.

The awareness drives were held under the Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) program and the teams visited Government Ayurvedic Hospital in Model Gram, PNB bank, GLADA office on Ferozepur road among other sectors to encourage the service voters. 

Apart from the other awareness activities, an oath was also administered to the staffers in the banks as they were urged to exercise their Right to Vote. 

District Election Officer (DEO)-cum-Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sakshi Sawhney said that a large number of voter awareness activities are being organised across the district. The aim of district administration is to ensure maximum participation during the Lok Sabha-2024 elections and to achieve the target of more than 70 per cent voter turnout during the Lok Sabha elections (Iss Baar, 70 Paar). 

DEO Sawhney said that the district administration and police are committed to hold free, fair and transparent elections in the district and the residents should cast their vote without any fear and without coming under anyone's influence.

DEO Sawhney further said that every effort is being made to facilitate the voters at the polling stations on polling days (June 1).
