Jalandhar, August 3, 2019: A religious procession punctuated by a tree plantation drive dedicated to the 550th Gurupurab Celebration of Guru Nanak Dev graced the entire campus of Lyallpur Khalsa College.
Recitation of Sri Sukhmani Sahib in the college Gurudwara Sahib was followed by the procession led by ‘Panj Pyaaras’ which planted saplings all over the college campus.
The program was participated in by Balbir Kaur President Governing Council, Jaspal Singh Waraich Joint Secretary, Jagdeep Singh Shergill and Ramandeep Singh (Members, Governing Council), Principal Dr.Gurpinder Singh Samra along with the staff and students of the college.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr.GS Samra informed that the baptized members of the college staff volunteered for the service for the program and pledged that the college will continue to hold such programs for the entirety of this momentous year. He also expressed the college’s plan to introduce new academic programs for its students during the same period of 550th Gurupurab celebrations.
