Jalandhar, September 19, 2019: A one-day mega job fair of District Administration, Jalandhar in association with CT Group of Institutions, under Ghar Ghar Rozgar Yojna, initiated by Punjab Government was organized at CT Polytechnic College, Shahpur campus today.
The job fair saw the participation of the students of PG/UG/Polytechnic/ITI, XII and X passed.
1683 candidates registered from Doaba region and had a golden chance to get selected by more than 49 companies. Companies namely John Deere, Red Carpet, Apollo Home Care, Pukhraj Health Care, NIIT, ICICI, Axis, Club JB and Videocon etc participated in this fair. Out of 1683, 827 candidates got selected and 232 shortlisted.
Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma paid a visit in a job fair along with ADC Kulwant Singh. They were accompanied by CT Group Chairman Charanjit S Channi, Managing Director Manbir Singh, Vice Chairman Harpreet Singh, Campus Director Dr. G S Kalra and Deputy Director CCPC Abhishek Soni.
While appreciating the efforts of organizing this job fair, DC Varinder Kumar Sharma said, “This is a great platform in order to raise employment opportunities for the young generation and the response has been outstanding. The key motive is to give maximum number of jobs to the pass out students and for those as well who are looking for jobs.”
Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman, CT Group of Institutions congratulated the selected candidates for the jobs and expressed his contentment by virtue of the fact that the institutions always work towards providing employment opportunities for the students.
