Chandigarh, June 30, 2015: Prof Jaspal Kaur Kaang is the New Chairperson of University School of Open Learning (USOL), Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh.
Today afternoon i.e. on June 30, Prof. R.K Gupta former Chairperson has handed over the charge of Chairmanship of USOL to Dr. Kaang.
Dr. Jaspal Kaur Kaang had joined this Department (USOL) in 1978. Since then she has been continuously serving in this department. Presently Dr. Kaang is a member of PU Senate, Dean of Languages and chairperson of Guru Nanak Sikh Studies. She has been recognized as language expert and awarded recognition by several Institutions.
Prof Kaang is a Professor of Punjabi and has written 10 Books and more than 50 research articles. She has completed her U.G.C Project on Sri Guru Granth Sahib. She is also a member of National Sahitya Akademi Government of India. / (SK Vyas, Jalandhar)
