President of India announced India Rankings 2019 and ARIIA 2019

Chandigarh, April 8, 2019: President of India, Sh.Ram Nath Kovind announced India Rankings 2019 and Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements (ARIIA 2019) under the umbrella of National Institutional Ranking Framework
(NIRF) at an award ceremony held at New Delhi, today.

Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh has been placed at 9th rank in the Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements (ARIIA) 2019 Rankings and placed at No. 3 amongst Indian Universities of the country.

However, University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS), PU has secured Second place amongst pharmacy institutions of the country as per NIRF India Ranking 2019.

PU Vice Chancellor Prof Raj Kumar alongwith IQAC Director, Prof.Ashish Jain and Professor Kanwaljit Chopra, Chairperson, UIPS, were present on the occasion to receive the Award and Certificate at a ceremony held at Vighan Bhawan, New Delhi.

PU VC has congratulated the teaching fraternity and students with special mention of Pharma faculty. He encouraged the faculty to keep striving towards excellence in taking PU to greater heights.

Prof. Ashish Jain expressed his satisfaction in significant improvement portraying the quantifiable quality of PU which is being recognized by the Ranking Agencies.
