POLITICAL THEATRICS WITNESS IN ZIRA; CONGRESS MLA FULFILLED THE CHALLENGE, UNDERWENT DOPE TEST

SAD PRESIDENT SKIPPED THE PLACE TO AVOID ANY CONTROVERSY
Ferozepur, January 29, 2019: To fulfill his challenge, Congress MLA Kulbir Singh Zira underwent a dope test at the Dope Test Camp which was organized near the venue where the SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal was coming meet the party workers at Village Thatha Singh Wala. The SAD Chief however skipped that place avoiding any controversy.
The Dope Test Camp was installed around half km away from the venue where the Sukhbir Singh Badal was coming to meet the workers. Zira had left no stone unturned to give “dramatic” touch to entire scene. While Zira was sitting on a chair in the camp, waiting for the SAD President, another chair was also setup on which a photograph of Sukhbir was placed. The five questions which Zira had asked Sukhbir were also printed on flex board in the background.
However, when Sukhbir did not reach the venue for the test, Zira underwent the dope test and his report was negative.
“I have fulfilled my challenge. I am not a drug addict as it was claimed by the SAD President. Now I challenge Sukhbir again to undergo dope test within one month since he has failed to make it this time. If he again fails to complete the challenge, I will personally initiate a signature campaign in all 117 Assembly constituencies of Punjab against Sukhbir from March 1. I will also file an RTI about the status of firearms license of Sukhbir. If he possesses a firearms license, he will have to undergo the dope test”, said Congress MLA.
Meanwhile, Sukhbir met the party worker at the venue. The Congress workers welcomed the SAD President with black flags. Targeting Congress, Sukhbir said that reign of terror has been unleashed during the Congress regime in Punjab. He said even the police officials are working under the influence and several cases have been registered against the SAD workers on behest of Congress leaders.
Terming Zira’s outburst during the oath-taking ceremony Panchayat members, a “drama” in which Zira had leveled serious allegations against the police officials. “Congress has failed to fulfill the promises it had made with the people of Punjab and now they are playing only dirty politics”, said Sukhbir .
HEAVY POLICE FORCE DEPLOYED TO AVOID ANY UNTOWARD INCIDENT
Huge police contingent was deployed to prevent any untoward situation and conflict between Congress and Akali workers. As per the sources, more than one thousand Punjab police officials, 5 SP-DSP rank officials were deployed to avoid any untoward incident.
