Annual Management Conclave 2019 being held at PCTE Group of Institute, Ludhiana on Saturday.

Ludhiana, April 27, 2019: The Department of Business Management of PCTE Group of Institutes organized its Annual Management Conclave 2019” where the industry professionals shared their knowledge and discussed on the topic “International Trade: Challenges and Opportunities for Indian Businesses”. The motive behind the conclave was to create a platform for learning from the accomplished people of the respective industry. The Chief Guest on the occasion was Mr. Sudhanshu Pandey, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Commerce, Govt of India and the Honorable Guests were Mr. S C Ralhan, MD, Sri Tools and Ms. Kamna Raj Aggarwal, MD, GDPA Fasteners.

Mr. Sudhanshu Pandey said that we are passing through a challenging but an opportune time and said that 330 billion exports were done by India out of which 210 were from the service sector in the last year and was considered to be the highest of all times besides the rules and regulations imposed by the government and further said that India can benefit from the ongoing challenges in global trade provided it plays its cards well and we can actually benefit from it by creating an opportunity around the issues that are happening globally.

Ms. Kamna Raj Aggarwal discussed the opportunities and anxiety that we face today because of the big challenges that are happening at a faster pace, she further said that it is important not to ape the western concept of innovation, in fact, we need to capitalize on our strength and further emphasized the fact that MSME is the backbone of our economy. Mr. S C Ralhan, said that based on the rules and regulations India faces a lot of challenges for export as compared to other countries and further added by saying that the world trade organization is the biggest hindrance for Indian exports.

Dr. Gautam Bansal, Director, PCTE, said that the conclave was very informative for the students of Business Management; he added by saying that the keynote speakers motivated the students and gave them a wider perspective on International Trade.

Dr. K N S Kang, Director General, PCTE Group of Institutes congratulated the team of Business Management on successfully organizing the Conclave and said that events like these help the students to explore a lot of new things under one roof.
