Ludhiana, October 26, 2015: Vikram Singh, a resident of Humak Village, Ludhiana was an immediate help to Foromo Thea, student from Guinea Conakry studying at PCTE Group of Institutes who met with an accident near Sahnewal and was lying unconscious on the road at 12 Midnight. PCTE acknowledges the benevolent and hospitable attitude shown by Vikram.
In such an intense situation, Vikram didn't panic and the first thing he did was called for an ambulance and the Police authorities. Later on he searched for Foromo's identity proof from where he could manage to get contact details of college authorities. Before any help could arrive, Vikram showed courtesy to stay with the victim and accompanied him to SPS Hospital. He waited for the college authorities and Foromo's friends to reach at the hospital and also followed up later in the day to enquire about Foromo's condition. When asked about his kind attitude and the reason for showing such benevolence, he said, “ Foromo is like my brother and this was my duty to help him, after all he is our guest in India.”
Dr. KNS Kang, Director General of PCTE while appreciating the kind gesture of Vikram towards his student, said, “Vikram showed real 'Atithi Devo Bhava' attitude towards the our guest. He also said that Vikram's act is a real example for all of us to show the true hospitable attitude for which India is cited as an example always.
