PAU To Hold Inter-College Youth Fest From Oct 23-30

Ludhiana, October 6, 2015: The Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) is all set to hold the “Inter-College Youth Festival 2015-16” from October 23 – 30. Various sub-committees have been constituted for the successful conduct of the youth festival.

According to Dr (Mrs) R.K.Dhaliwal, Director Students’ Welfare and the Chairperson of the fest, the PAU youth fest would kick start with collage making, creative writing and cartooning events on October 23 followed by poster making, debate, clay modeling and poetic recitation/haas rass events on October 24. On the spot painting, extempore/elocution and rangoli events would be organized on October 25 whereas photography, shabad gayna (group and solo) and quiz competitions would be held on October 26, she informed. The youth fest would be inaugurated formally at Open Air Theatre on October 28, she said, adding that folk songs, solo dances and music items would also be organized on the same day. She further said one act play, mimicry and mime events would be held on October 29 whereas skit, mono acting, folk dances and prize distribution function would be organized on October 30.

Dr Dhaliwal stated, “There is great enthusiasm among the students for participation in the upcoming youth fest and they are preparing for various events whole-heartedly.”
