PAINTERS CAMP AND NUKKAD NATAK MARKS DAY 2 OF RAJESHWARI KALA MAHAOTSAV
Jalandhar, March 7, 2019: Day 2 of the 4 day Rajeshwari Kala Mahaotsav at Apeejay College of Fine Arts marked the inauguration of the Painters camp inaugurated by Prof. Ashok Ogra, Director, Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication, Delhi. The camp comprises noted artists and painters hailing from across the country. Sudhir Gupta, experienced teacher and renowned cartoonist, cartooning for the dailies like India Today, Navbharat Times; Dr.Jaspal Singh, vastly travelled and highly appreciated artist; Dr. Nandlal Thakur, Assistant Professor, HP University, Shimla is a seasoned artist; Reena Bhatnagar, Fine Arts faculty at Education Department, Chandigarh, is a celebrated painter ; Renu Bala, credited with organizing more than 30 Art exhibitions and Srishti, adobe graphic artist are the eminent performers of the camp. Nukkad Natak 'Waris' (the successor), collaborated by Rupak Kala & Welfare Society and NZCC, was directed by Sangeeta Gupta. The mini play highlighted women empowerment and raised the issue of female feticide and the girl participants performed artistically. Principal Dr. Sucharita paid her gratitude to Prof. Saubhagya Vardhan, Director, NZCC and the theatre artists for the play and lauded the works of the painters.
