Legal Aid Forum kickstarts at UILS

Chandigarh, April 4, 2019: The Legal Aid Society of University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab University is organizing the prestigious ‘National Legal Aid Forum’ on 5th April, 2019 where around 20 legal aid clinics representing the most esteemed law schools of the country; will present the glimpses of various activities and pursuits undertaken by them in furtherance of providing effective and accessible legal aid services to the downtrodden and indigent people of our society. Based on such presentation, these teams would be adjudged by an eminent jury, thereby motivating them and augmenting their spirit for service. It would be followed by a panel discussion amongst the legal luminaries and distinguished intellectuals having expertise in the field of law; on the topic of ‘Role and Functioning of Legal Aid Clinics’ This event would be a unique platform in furtherance of the objective of ensuring that ‘the opportunities for securing justice should not be denied to any citizen by reason of economic or other disabilities’
