OPPOSITION PARTIES SHOULD NOT POLITICISE ISSUES OF WHICH THEY HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE: MAYOR BALKAR SINGH SANDHU

MAYOR VISITS POLICE STATION & ASKS OFFICIALS TO RELEASE DETAINED AAP LEADERS AAP LEADERS SHOULD HAVE FAITH IN PUNJAB ASSEMBLY: SANDHU Ludhiana, March 5, 2019: Ludhiana Mayor Mr Balkar Singh Sandhu today said that the opposition parties should not politicise issues of which they have no knowledge. He said that its sad that some political leaders are raising non-issues for the sake of their petty politics, which leads to wastage of everybody’s time. In wake of the CLU issue, the Aam Aadmi Party had announced to gherao the residence of Cabinet Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu today. When the AAP leaders were holding protest against the Cabinet Minister near Kochar Market chowk, Mayor Mr Balkar Singh Sandhu accompanied by Senior Congress leader Mr Kamaljit Singh Karwal visited the protesting leaders. The Mayor asked the protesting AAP leaders that they should have full faith in the Punjab Vidhan Sabha, as Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh has already announced that a high powered committee would investigate the entire issue. He said that the AAP leaders should have some patience and assured that truth would come out in open soon. He said that the opposition parties should atleast wait for the committee report, before jumping to their own conclusions. Mayor Mr Balkar Singh Sandhu stated that stand of AAP leaders in support of tainted officials raises questions over their own credibility. After the AAP leaders were detained by the Ludhiana Police, Mayor Mr Balkar Singh Sandhu visited the Police Station and asked the senior officials to release the detained AAP leaders.
