He would address the colloquium on January 3 at Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Mohali. On January 4th, Prof Ramakrishnan would visit BMS Block Sector 25, Physics Department Sector 14 of PU campus. At Physics Department, Prof Ramakrishnan would interact with INSPIRE faculty at PU.

Hargobind Khorana scholars from schools of Punjab would also get the opportunity to attend the lecture. On January 5, Prof Ramakrishnan would visit PGIMER, Chandigarh.
It may be recalled that PU had earlier decided to bestow PU’s Honorary Degree of Doctor of Science (Honoris Causa) on Prof Ramakrishnan but he had expressed his regrets and inability to participate in the Convocation.  However, he had informed the PU VC Prof Grover that whenever he will be in India, he would visit PU for delivering one or more talks and interacting with students and young scientists./ (SK Vyas, Jalandhar)
