For redressal of pending registration work, Naib Tehsildar, Sahnewal given charge of Registrations at sub-registrar office (Ludhiana West) for two days in a week

Ludhiana, May 8, 2024: District Election Officer (DEO)-cum-Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sakshi Sawhney has ordered deployment of Naib Tehsildar, Sahnewal Manveer Kaur at the office of Sub-Registrar (Ludhiana west) for two days in a week (Monday and Wednesday). The decision has been taken to ensure smooth functioning at the office of sub-registar Ludhiana West.

In the orders issued on Wednesday, DEO Sawhney stated that Tehsildar Samrala, Kulwant Singh Sidhu also holds the additional charge of Sub-registrar (Ludhiana West).

During the Lok Sabha-2024 elections, Tehsildar Samrala has also been appointed as ARO-1 of Samrala assembly segment. 

As the tehsildar has to focus on his duty of ARO-1 during elections, the work of registrations at the office of Sub-registrar (Ludhiana West) was getting affected.

To ensure that the work of registrations is not affected at the office of sub-registrar (Ludhiana West), Naib Tehsildar, Sahnewal Manveer Kaur has been deputed at the office of sub-registrar (Ludhiana West) for registrations for two days in a week (Monday and Wednesday).

Sakshi Sawhney informed that all basic civic amenities for public are also being provided in all Sub Registrar offices of Ludhiana.

The information regarding the same has also been shared with the office of Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab.
