BioNEST-PU organized an interactive session to celebrate National Technology Day themed as “A Technopreneur Within”

Chandigarh, May 9, 2024: BioNEST Panjab University hosted an event on National Technology Day on 9th May 2024, centered around the theme of "A Technopreneur Within." Technology has revolutionized everything around us, the way we communicate, work, learn, and perceive the world around us. BioNEST is the catalyst that transforms ideas into reality and fuels the growth of innovation in young minds. Empowering young minds for the betterment of tomorrow is the grounds on which BioNEST is firmly anchored. The event was graced by the presence of esteemed individuals, including Professor Yajvendar Pal Verma, Registrar of Panjab University, who served as the guest of honour. The event was embarked with audience comprising of faculty from other departments of Panjab University, nearby institutes, start-ups, budding entrepreneurs and dignitaries from the dais. The keynote speaker, Dr Anil Wali, delivered a captivating address that left the audience inspired and motivated. With power comes responsibility, harnessing technology for the greater good and solving the challenges faced by our society, from climate change to global health crises was the main message to one and all. Everyone expressed gratitude to the brilliant minds and tireless innovators who have dedicated their lives to pushing the boundaries of what is possible. Their passion, creativity, and perseverance inspired us all to dream big and never stop reaching for the stars.The event's Chief Guest, Dr Santanu Das Gupta, Senior Vice President of Reliance Industries Limited, shared his invaluable insights into the world of technology and entrepreneurship.He emphasized on advances in biology and introduction of Artificial Intelligence into it. Embracing the opportunities that technology presents while also remaining vigilant against its potential pitfalls is necessary. The technology should be used to foster equality, inclusivity, and sustainable development for all.  Additionally, the event saw the participation of two special guests: Dr Ganesh Kumraj, Managing Director of Bio-Bridge Healthcare Solutions Private Limited, and Mr Vineet Khurana, Chief Executive Officer of Startup Accelerator Chamber of Commerce India. They talked about academic and entrepreneurial journey. One should be eager to learn something new always creating a unique skill set and differentiating oneself from others. Our commitment to harness the power of technology for the betterment of humankind should be prioritized. Together, we can build a brighter, more prosperous future for generations to come. The audience was very interactive and enthusiastic about the upcoming developments in the field.
