National Undergraduate Medical Conference (NUMCON 2019) got concluded with academic fiesta

Ludhiana, April 26, 2019: Two-day National Undergraduate Medical Conference (NUMCON 2019), which got started yesterday, was concluded today with a series of lectures, scientific sessions, panel discussion and poster presentation.

The conference was formally inaugurated today by the Principal Commissioner of Income Tax- Sh Parneet Sachdev. Also present on the inaugural ceremony were Commissioner of Police Dr Sukhchain Singh Gill, Secretary of DMCH Managing Society-Sh Prem Kumar Gupta, Principal Dr Sandeep Puri, Vice Principal Dr GS Wander, Dean Academics Dr Rajoo Singh Chhina, Medical Supdts Dr Sandeep Sharma & Dr Ashwani Chaudhary and Assistant Dean Academics-Dr Sandeep Kaushal.

The chief guest- Sh Parneet Sachdev lauded the effort of organizers in holding such conference, which is exclusively organized by medical students for the benefit of students. In his lecture, Sh Sachdev emphasized that in order to achieve success, one must built such a positive approach towards life that success gets attracted towards you automatically. A person should always have an ‘open mind’ to imbibe and grasp new things in their professional field and other aspects of life.

Secretary- Sh Prem Kumar Gupta apprised the chief guest about various advancements in the scope of services being offered by DMCH and alsoinformed that the management of DMCH believes in providing wualuth hearthare at affordable costs.

Principal Dr Sandeep Puri praised the team effort of students in organizing the conference and expressed that such platforms will go a long way in enhancing the knowledge of young medicos. Dr Rajoo Singh Chhina and Dr G S Wander also addressed the gathering and shared their experiences from being a young medical student to present day faculty member.

Organizing Secretary of the conference- Siriesha said that second and concluding day of the conference today began with lecture on ‘Stress Management in Medical Sciences by Dr Amit Sen. Dr Sunil Nadar spoke on ‘Current concepts in management of HYPERTENSION’

The day also had a series of panel discussion, oral paper and poster presentations Workshop on the topics ‘Soft Skills’, ‘Burns and Plastics’, ‘Community Outreach’, ‘Neonatal Resuscitation’ and ‘Breast Feeding’ were also conducted. The highlight of today was PANEL DISCUSSION, in which the panelist shared their varied experiences

Assistant Dean Academics-Dr Sandeep Kaushal proposed a vote of thanks to all those present on the occasion and expressed hope that conference like NUMCON 2019 will be of immense help in enhancing the professional knowledge of young medicos.
