Medicos at DMCH celebrate Teachers’ Day

Ludhiana, September 6, 2012: To express their gratitude and appreciation for their teachers, students of DMCH celebrated Teachers' Day yesterday evening in Dumra Auditorium with great fervour and enthusiasm.

The function was presided over by Secretary of DMCH Managing Society- Prem Kumar Gupta as the chief guest along with Managing Member Balraj Kumar, Principal Dr Daljit Singh, Dean Academics Dr Rajoo Singh Chhina, Medical Supdt. Dr Ashwani Chaudhary and Assistant Dean Academics Dr Sandeep Kaushal.

In his address to the students, Principal Dr Daljit Sngh remarked about teacher-student relationship and the vast potential of teaching to bring about positive social reforms in the society. Dean Academics Dr Rajoo Singh Chhina also highlighted the responsibilities of teachers on this great occasion.

The function began with the 'Antakshri' round where all the participants including teachers and students sang with all their zeal and enthusiasm. Other performances during the function include debate,solo song, group dance, comedy presentation and bhangra by students of various MBBS batches and PG students as well.

Known for their excellent singing abilities,Principal Dr Daljit Singh and Dr Navjot Bajwa enthralled and mesmerized the audience with their melodious voices. Dr Rajoo Singh Chhina also enchanted the audiencewith his extraordinary mouth organ rendition of some of the old hit songs. Thedignitaries present on the occasion participated in cake-cutting ceremony that served everybody’s sweet tooth and stimulated teachers for more fun-filled but challenging teaching days ahead.

The function got concluded with a proposed vote of thanks by Student Organisers-Ankit Poonia, Vibhushit Kaul, Rishab Garg, Rajdeep Singh Chhina and Jasmeet Chawla along with student co-ordinators Surbhi, Anmol, Hiteshwar, Jasmine,Jaspreet Kumar and Ashima, who expressed their deep gratitude towards teachers, whom they described as guiding forces in helping them shape their future.
